Kasha
Earlier this year Kasha was seized alongside her son, Kong, as suspected Pit Bull type dogs.
Neither dog had ever injured any person or animal.
After a few months in secure kennels, the police concluded that Kong was not of Pit Bull type and he was returned to his owners. Sadly, they believed Kasha had a substantial number of characteristics of the American Pit Bull Terrier, and was, therefore, a prohibited breed.
We instructed canine expert, Orion Dog Services, Mike Barnett to assess Kasha. His opinion was that she did not have a substantial number of characteristics of an American Pit Bull Terrier, and therefore was not a prohibited breed.
Last week Kasha’s owner was represented in court by Cathryn McGahey KC. After extensive cross-examination the court were satisfied that Kasha was not a prohibited breed.
We are pleased to confirm Kasha has now been reunited with her son and family, free from all conditions.
